About Adis

Adis was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 16th October 1984.

From young age, it was clear to the family that there was something special and different about him compared to other close relatives. Simultaneous talents for a wide range of interests such as chess, poetry and philosophy was not something too "conventional" for family of economists, accountants and lawyers.

Sad events of war in Bosnia, 1992-1995, took Adis from well documented siege of Sarajevo to Britain. Country that has always welcomed immigrants and encouraged creativity, provided ideal surroundings for Adis to flourish. He was accepted into King Edward VI, one of the best grammar schools in the country and then University College London, one of the best universities in the world to study Philosophy & Economics.

Adis's journey came to a tragic end in Bristol, UK, on 19th April 2005, through dramatic series of events on the same day, when he was attacked and then not treated by relevant people for the injuries. These events were well documented in media and referenced within this website on Links section. To us who still and always will care about Adis, commenting over circumstances of that day will never change the sad reality.

So, we hereby wish to focus on some of Adis's visions he did not have opportunity to fullfill and through good work keep up our memory of his incredible mind, great personality and good nature.
